Undergraduate Intern Production Operations Summer 2012

The Franchise Marketing and Creative Content division is responsible for creating video content for network on-air and for off-air presentations when multiple Disney company stakeholders are working together. Our goal is to strategically leverage content, platforms and resources inside and outside the Walt Disney Company to launch, build and sustain our Disney ABC Television Group franchises and priorities, while at the same time leading Disney ABC Television Group’s efforts to market Disney corporate franchises, corporate citizenship, and other Disney line of business priorities using our Disney ABC Television Group platforms – resulting in promoting priorities and consumer goodwill for The Walt Disney Company.

Responsibilities
The production team is responsible for handling all project opening, processes and deadlines, and closing out of projects once delivered. This involves the specifics of tracking multiple projects, hiring a production company for each, ensuring business paperwork is handled, tracking schedules and deliveries of assets, ensuring that creative review takes place as scheduled, and managing asset delivery and preparation for final on-air or off-air presentation. The group also handles all finances and operations. Specifically in this role, the intern will be expected to provide general assistance to the production team and ancillary members of the production process from our strategy and creative groups. Responsibilities are listed below. Take possession of final asset deliveries and within our “comping” process, prepare for air and upload. Interface with vendors, managers and coordinators as needed to streamline the production process Some asset management and sorting
Basic Qualifications
All students must be eligible to work in the US All students must be pursuing a bachelors or masters degree and be currently enrolled at an accredited university All students must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) throughout the summer All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship All students must be professional, able to follow instructions and complete tasks given All students must be proficient with Microsoft Office Strong interest in marketing and the entertainment industry Proficient with Final Cut Pro
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate students entering into their Junior or Senior year Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Previous internship experience within Television Post Production Previous experience in an office setting Excellent written and verbal communications skills Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
