Undergraduate Intern Market Research Disney Channels Summer 2012
The Disney ABC Television Group (DATG) is home to all of The Walt Disney Company's worldwide entertainment and news television properties. The Group includes the ABC Television Network (including ABC Daytime, ABC Entertainment Group and ABC News divisions); the Disney Channels Worldwide global kids’ TV business, ABC Family and SOAPnet; as well as television distribution divisions Disney ABC Domestic Television and Disney ABC ESPN Television. The Disney ABC Television Group also manages the Radio Disney Network, general interest and non-fiction book imprint Hyperion, as well the Company’s equity interest in A&E Television Networks.

Responsibilities
The intern will support research projects relating to Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior & Radio Disney. The intern assist in fieldwork and execution of both qualitative & quantitative studies. Responsibilities: Help coordinate projects and act as a liaison with vendors Assist in data analysis, proofreading, survey writing, discussion guides and reports Compile information from primary and syndicated studies to fulfill client requests Utilize and mine various syndicated research studies for marketing and strategic purposes, as well as provide regular updates on topics to aid branding & marketing decisions Review/write summaries of syndicated reports, produce regular reports & memos on industry trends Assist in organizing and maintaining the department’s research library
Basic Qualifications
All students must be eligible to work in the US All students must be pursuing a bachelors or masters degree and be currently enrolled at an accredited university All students must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) throughout the summer All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship All students must be professional, able to follow instructions and complete tasks given All students must be proficient with Microsoft Office (with emphasis in excel) Excellent written & verbal communication skills High attention to detail Interest in Consumer Insights & Market Research
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate students entering into their Junior or Senior year Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Previous internship experience within a related field Demonstrated experience with project management Familiarity/Comfort in working with large amounts of data
