Undergraduate Intern Creative ABC Family Summer 2012

The Disney ABC Television Group (DATG) is home to all of The Walt Disney Company's worldwide entertainment and news television properties. The Group includes the ABC Television Network (including ABC Daytime, ABC Entertainment Group and ABC News divisions); the Disney Channels Worldwide global kids’ TV business, ABC Family and SOAPnet; as well as television distribution divisions Disney ABC Domestic Television and Disney ABC ESPN Television. Part of the Disney-ABC Television Group, ABC Family is distributed in over 98 million homes. Responsibilities
The creative team oversees all branding for the premiere millennial destination, ABC Family. From on-air promotions to anything with the ABC Family logo, including print ads and network premiums, it all comes through the creative department. Responsibilities: Assist with the creation of compilation reels and logs as needed for distribution Help organize and distribute compilation reels as needed by coordinator and creative team Create digitized QuickTime videos of spots for Digital Media and email distribution Gather competitive materials for internal review Shadow production coordinator and learn their responsibilities General office support, picking up and delivering dailies/spots/media for post work

Basic Qualifications
All students must be eligible to work in the US All students must be pursuing a bachelors or masters degree and be currently enrolled at an accredited university All students must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) throughout the summer All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship All students must be professional, able to follow instructions and complete tasks given All students must be proficient with Microsoft Office Self-starter

Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate students entering into their Junior or Senior year Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Previous internship experience within a related field Experience in a fast paced, office working environment Mac & PC proficiency Final Cut Pro and/or AVID editing experience
