Broadcast LAN Specialist
As a member of the Content Systems and Engineering Services department, the Broadcast LAN Specialist will be responsible for the installation, configuration, commissioning, and administration of Cisco networking devices which serve as the backbone of the TV networks mission critical on-air broadcast data and content computer networks.
Responsibilities
Develop high availability campus networks using state-of-the art CISCO hardware technologies and architectures. Configure, deploy and troubleshoot Cisco 3550, 3750, 4500 and 6500 switches as user and server farm layer 2/3 devices. Configuration and deployment of network infrastructure within the NYC campus to support users using Cisco 3750,3560,and 6500 switches Upgraded the IOS code of Cisco switches Upgrade Core and Distribution 6500 switches from SUP2/MSFC2 to the SUP720 platform with 10GigE uplinks. Updated relevant LAN/WAN infrastructure diagrams using MS Visio Pro. Knowledge of IP networking, Troubleshooting switches and subnets, ACL creation
Basic Qualifications
-Related 8+ years work experience -CISCO Networking Certification
Preferred Qualifications
-Work experience in a Media environment -CCNA, CCNP, AutoCad,Visio, A+ Computer Certification preferred
Required Education
-Bachelor’s degree or Networking / Computer related training required
